    From Rosewood to Redemption

This song is originally from my album “Thingamabob2,” and this new version is the result of a collaboration with a new group of local musicians. Thanks to all these fine people for their contributions in reworking this song about the Rosewood Massacre, especially Joy Banks who wrote the new arrangement.

My Last Day at the Circus

Both a fond memory of the magic of circuses and carnivals as experienced in childhood… and a metaphor for mortality. With a brilliant accordion part played by the marvelous Michael Ward-Bergeman, aka “Master Peace” in his clown days.

The Ways of War Memorial Day 2021

Every Memorial Day, our local Veterans for Peace chapter creates a tribute tombstone for every lost soldier and sailor from the Afghanistan and Iraq wars, and display them along a busy road. This song is for Scott Camil and all the warriors who returned from conflict to take up the cause of peace. The brilliant trumpet is by Longineu Parsons II, the lead vocal by Darryl Tookes, and the choir features many members of the Casa de Musica songwriter workshop group.
